Key Responsibilities
* Prepare high-quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.
* Compile a daily report verifying transactions.
* Demonstrate understanding of what constitutes a meal.
* Ensure accurate and sanitary storage of food.
* Serve food in accordance with meal schedules, department policies, and procedures.
* Maintain proper use and care of kitchen equipment, particularly knives.
* Timely preparation of various food items, beverages, and garnishes to ensure customer satisfaction and visual appeal.
* Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment.
* Comply with all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage.
* Maintain adherence to the uniform policy.
* Establish regular communication with the Manager to understand and accurately prepare the daily menu.
* Monitor and maintain optimal food temperature requirements.
* Promote a clean and organized work and storage area.
* Clean and sanitize counters, steam tables, and other equipment as needed.
* FOLLOW established procedures and standards for cleanliness, ensuring a balanced and safe environment; duties include sweeping, mopping, ware washing.
* Ensure the garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas remain neat and sanitary.
* Perform additional duties as assigned, including tasks in other kitchen areas.
* This role may involve physical demands, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. This role also requires uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
