W2025_TBCOpen to Internal and External CandidatesPosition Title : Project AssistantDuty Station : Dublin, Ireland Classification : General Service Staff, G4Type of Appointment : One Year Fixed Term Graded Contract, with possibility of extension Estimated Start Date : December 2025Closing Date : 24 November 2025IOM Ireland has been operating in Ireland since 2001, currently in following areas of migration management: Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration, Resettlement, Family Reunification, Counter-Trafficking, Protection, Integration Support to Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection, Integrated Immigration Governance and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS).Context:IOM provides mental health and psychosocial support to international protection seekers residing in the Citywest accommodation facility with the aim to improve their psychosocial well-being and to strengthen their overall resilience.Under the overall supervision of the chief of mission in Ireland, the Head of Unit, and the direct supervision of the assigned Project Coordinator, the incumbent will be accountable and responsible for providing efficient administrative assistance and support to the day-to-day administrative, HR and finance tasks related to the implementation of the MHPSS project.Core Functions / Responsibilities:Assist the assigned Project Coordinator in implementing and monitoring the administrative/financial and HR activities related to the project.Implement delegated administrative actions in accordance with IOM rules, regulations and instructions.Maintain appropriate filing of all admin and HR documents.Process in a timely manner staff expense claims and Travel claims of the MHPSS Project's staff as per IOM rules.Assisting in the purchasing of the items necessary to the project's implementation, as per IOM rules.Follow up the internal administrative and financial processes with the relevant Units.Assist the Senior Project Coordinator with the all the stages of the administrative and HR functions related to the Project.Provide general clerical support to the assigned Project Coordinator.Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.Required Qualifications and Experience:Education:Bachelors' degree in Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, or other related field from an accredited academic institution with minimum of two years of relevant professional experience; orHigh School diploma with at least two years of relevant experience.Experience:Proven experience in a similar setting & capacity.Excellent knowledge of information technology and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint.Experience with EU and/or international funding instruments, in financial management and reporting, accounting, budgeting and internal controls.Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy & confidentiality in performing responsibilities.Strong interpersonal & intercultural skills with an attention to detail.Previous work experience in international organizations and service industry companies would be an advantage.Skills:Ability to work with migrants and asylum seekersInterpersonal skills (i.e. empathy and emotional resilience)Intercultural competence and communication skillsCulture-specific knowledgeCapacity to prevent and mitigate conflicts and bridge gaps due to language misunderstandings in an objective and impartial manner between the beneficiaries and the authoritiesPsychological understanding in interpersonal communication and sensitivity in addressing the asylum-seekers' claimsKnowledge of the procedures related to the asylum application in IrelandExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to prepare clear and concise reports and work with statisticsGood experience with Microsoft OfficeLanguages:IOM's official languages are English, French, and SpanishFor this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written).Working knowledge of any UN languages an advantageRequired Competencies:ValuesInclusion and respect for diversity: Respects and promotes individual and cultural differences;
