We are now seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee and help grow both trading divisions.
The Role This is a senior leadership role responsible for: Full operational oversight of both companies Managing drivers, operations staff and office personnel Improving systems, reporting and operational efficiencies Ensuring compliance (waste regulations, transport compliance, health & safety)Overseeing budgets, margins and financial performance Strategic planning and scaling the business You will work closely with the Directors to professionalise and expand both businesses.
Key Responsibilities Operational Management Oversee daily routing, logistics and scheduling Ensure service levels and KPIs are consistently met Improve operational systems and automation Compliance & Governance Ensure adherence to EPA, NWCPO, ADR and HSE standards Maintain documentation, permits and regulatory compliance Maintaining SOPs in line with ISO 9005:2015 Quality accreditation Oversee health & safety procedures Team Leadership Lead and motivate a growing operations team Implement performance management structures Recruit and develop staff as required Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who: Has senior management or operations leadership experience Is commercially minded and financially literate Can manage both strategy and hands-on operational detail Has strong organisational and leadership skills Is confident working in a fast-moving SME environment Experience in clinical waste, regulated transport or courier operations is an advantage.
