We are seeking a customer-focused and enthusiastic desk-side technician with a genuine interest in solving people's IT issues.
About the Role
This is an entry-level position that requires technical competence, excellent written and face-to-face communication skills, and a willingness to collaborate with the wider Global IT support teams.
The ideal candidate will be based in Leixlip and support thousands of users both onsite in the Intel campus in Co. Kildare and across the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing 1st and 2nd level laptop/desktop support
* Monitoring call management system to include continuous updating and closing of calls when resolved
* Meeting all Service Level Agreements
* Adhering to all policies and procedures as set out by the customer
* Providing support for various services, including Walk-in Service Centre, Installs, Breakfix, Refresh, Training Rooms, Conference Rooms/AV Support, Warehouse support, Remote Sites, and Home Users, and Digital Signage If Required
* Troubleshooting Office Software Issues and supporting common software issues within the Office Suite
* Offering productivity assistance and training to all customers if required
* Providing proactive support to all customers
* Participating in Project-based assignments when required
* Participating in Hardware/OS Refresh activity adhering to strict PC refresh schedules
* Documenting and keeping processes & procedures up to date
* Making regular off-site visits to Intel Warehouse to support proactive activity and incidents may be required
Requirements
* 1 year's experience in a similar position is desirable
* Professional, with excellent communication, organisational skills, and customer interaction abilities
* Understanding the value of and following the appropriate process or procedure
* Unquestionably flexible and presenting a value-add performance
* Ability to quickly adapt and learn
* Excellent customer focus
* Team player with excellent interpersonal communication skills
* Self-motivation and the ability to work under minimal supervision
* Excellent hardware knowledge
* Experience in Refresh/Rollout activity
* Proficient knowledge of Windows OS (Windows 11 etc..) and the Microsoft Office suite
