PLC Automation Engineer – 5+ Years Experience – Must Have Valid EU Work Permit

Role Description
The experienced PLC Automation Engineer will be part of an automation team supporting operations and/or projects at a pharmaceutical plant in Munster. Reporting to the Automation Lead, this role is part of the engineering team delivering key projects and supporting operations as required.
Role Functions
Working as part of an experienced automation team supporting operations and projects.
Collaborating with Automation Engineers, Process SMEs and CQV Leads to understand process requirements.
Generating the key technical inputs into functional design specifications from all stakeholders.
Participating in and signing off on key functional design aspects as required.
Implementing the Automation Change Pack to make the required code changes.
Supporting project reviews internally with key stakeholders within Automation and customers as required.
Role Requirements
Degree qualification ideally in a related discipline such as Automation, Chemical, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer or similar.
5+ years of experience as an Automation Engineer within the pharmaceutical industry in a regulated GMP environment, delivering automation solutions in PLC‑based systems such as Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley including integration.
Automation compliance lifecycle and change‑management experience.
Ability to liaise with process engineers to define scope and deliver on specifications with strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
Experience with process plant commissioning.
Good working knowledge of ISA88, ISA95, CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11.
Strong team player able to develop relationships and work closely with several cross‑functional disciplines, both within and outside the function and organisation.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to formulate thoughts clearly and concisely to provide clarity and a path forward on any issues.
