Quantity Surveyor - Cork A Quantity Surveyor is required to join Irelands leading multi-disciplinary Engineering and Construction company.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Cork with flexibility for hybrid working.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of civil and infrastructure projects across the Munster region, ensuring cost efficiency, value delivery, and compliance with contractual obligations.
Role: Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets, valuations, and cost reports throughout all project stages.
Conduct detailed quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and value engineering exercises.
Administer contracts and subcontracts, including the preparation of tender documents, procurement schedules, and contract variations.
Evaluate and process interim applications for payment, final accounts, and change orders.
Provide accurate and timely cost forecasting and cash flow analysis.
Liaise with project managers, site teams, design consultants, and clients to ensure commercial alignment.
Assist with risk management, identifying potential cost impacts and opportunities.
Support project delivery teams with commercial and contractual guidance.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of quantity surveying processes and mentor junior QS team members.
Requirements: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years experience in civil engineering or infrastructure projects (roads, utilities, marine, etc.).
Excellent knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, Public Works).
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, CostX, or similar QS software.
