Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team as a Service Technician for an international valve supplier.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting services for products at client sites nationwide and across Europe.
* Perform on-site maintenance and repairs of valves and automation components, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
* Deliver on-site training and supervision of customer maintenance teams, as required.
* Maintain accurate service reports and documentation.
* Manage customer complaints and resolutions in a timely and professional manner.
* Support the sales team in understanding customer requirements, providing technical solutions, and delivering presentations.
* Develop and deliver training sessions and technical presentations to customers and internal teams.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications in science, engineering, electrical, or instrumentation, with proven experience in a technical service or engineering role, preferably in the valves or automation industry.
Key Qualifications:
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Strong problem-solving skills and aptitude for finding technical solutions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in MS Office applications.
* Flexibility to travel for on-site support and training sessions in Ireland and abroad (approximately 30% of working days).
* Proficiency in using technical documentation and service tools.
* Experience working with CRM or other reporting systems would be beneficial.
