5. Basic Salary scale between €231,527- €280,581 in accordance with the HSE 2023 Consultant contract
6. Additional remuneration for on-call duties and overtime as applicable depending on rota (up to €19,000)
7. Highly flexible contract that enables consultants opportunity for a variety of different work patterns
8. Up to €12,000 CME and €8,000 research grant

12. Hours: 37 hours per week, plus on-call supplements
Key Responsibilities
13. Provide high-quality medical care in General Medicine to patients at this University Hospital.
14. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective diagnosis, treatment, and patient management.
15. Supervise and mentor junior doctors and medical trainees.
16. Engage in continuous professional development, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
17. Participate in on-call duties as per the hospital's rota.
18. Contribute to teaching and training programmes for medical students and postgraduate trainees.
Requirements to Apply
19. Full registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) – Specialist Division in General (Internal) Medicine must be active and in place to secure interview
20. Extensive post-graduate experience in General Medicine.
21. Excellent clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills.
22. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable
23. Experience in a subspecialty area of General Medicine.
24. Proven track record in medical research and clinical teaching.
25. Prior experience working in an Irish or UK healthcare setting.
26. Participation in quality improvement or patient safety initiatives.
