The Executive Officer will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the division, enabling the team to lead the organisation in adopting a data-centric approach to its regulatory remit and public service.
About the Team / Division
The Data and Technology Division is tasked with ensuring that Coimisiún na Meán makes effective use of data and technology in the discharge of its functions and to support its operations whilst providing essential insights into data science and the technologies employed by regulated entities. This Division employs advanced analytics and state-of-the-art technologies to oversee compliance, analyse trends, and provide critical insights to the various business units within Coimisiún na Meán.
The Data Governance team comprises a Director who is dedicated to best practices in data governance and management, analytical insights, and advanced statistical modeling. The team also includes a Data Engineer, a Data Scientist, and three Data Analysts.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing the day-to-day administrative operations of the Data Governance division, ensuring smooth workflow and supporting team efficiency;
* Coordinating project management activities, including tracking timelines, deliverables, and supporting the delivery of key data infrastructure and management projects;
* Preparing and communicating internal and external content, such as newsletters and updates, to embed data policies and keep stakeholders informed;
* Maintaining and curating digital platforms, including the Data Champions channel and SharePoint site, to support knowledge sharing and collaboration;
* Assisting with the preparation and timely reporting for the Data Governance team.

About You
Experience, Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications
* Experience with SharePoint, and a proven ability to work collaboratively in supporting both technical and non-technical team members.
* Strong organisational and project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently;
* Great attention to detail;
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience in administration within a data, finance, or regulatory environment;
* Experience with project management tools, e.g., Jira, and knowledge sharing hubs.
Key Information
* This position is offered on a Permanent basis.
* Full time, 35 hrs per week
* Annual Leave: 23 days per annum
* The role will be a hybrid role combining home and office working. Our current hybrid policy is 2 days in the office.
* Our office is located at One Shelbourne Buildings, Shelbourne Road, Dublin 4, D04 NP20.

Selection Process
