Job Title: Warehouse Operator
We are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Operator to join our team on a 12-month contract with opportunities for long-term growth.
Essential Job Functions
* Labelling and allocating bin locations for new materials received in stock, ensuring efficient inventory management.
* Shipping various product types, including hazardous goods, while adhering to company procedures.
* Preparing reports on customer unserviceable parts, facilitating accurate tracking and resolution.
* Managing all aspects of receiving vendor-supplied and customer-owned materials, maintaining high standards of accuracy and certification.
* Following the receiving procedure to ensure timely and precise processing, with correct documentation on the ERP system.
* Ensuring compliance with customer requirements for receiving customer-owned stock, fostering excellent customer service.
* Conducting material cycle counts and periodic stock checks as required, guaranteeing inventory integrity.
* Storing stock in accordance with established storage conditions, maintaining optimal temperature and humidity levels.
* Receiving stock into the ERP system, updating records in real-time.
* Maintaining departmental 5S standards and actively participating in the program, promoting a clean and organized work environment.
* Providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, building strong relationships.
* Complying with aviation regulations, prioritizing safety above all else.
* Liaising with production and internal departments for logistical support, streamlining processes and improving efficiency.
* Verifying that deliveries of commercial materials match relevant purchase orders, accurately recording and filing paperwork.
* Offering cross-departmental support for materials and logistics as needed, ensuring seamless operations.
Candidate Requirements
* A minimum leaving certificate qualification.
* Prior experience in stores or warehouse settings within the aviation industry.
* Forklift driving skills, although training can be provided for suitable candidates.
* Knowledge of industry and personal safety protocols, demonstrating a strong commitment to safety.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in modern ERP systems, with the capacity to learn and adapt quickly.
* A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and self-motivation, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
* Ability to work in a team-oriented setting, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
* Willingness to undergo cross-training and develop expertise in multiple areas of the materials department.
Working Conditions
* The successful candidate must meet and maintain the required medical standard.
* Work will be performed at Shannon Airport.
* Personal protective equipment is provided by the employer and mandatory for all employees.
* The candidate must satisfy and maintain airport security requirements.
