Position Summary:
We are seeking to recruit an experienced HVAC Engineer to join the Critical Utilities team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Utilities Operations and Maintenance, the HVAC Engineer will work as part of the team to deliver utility services across the site and support the transition of major capital projects to operations ownership.
The successful candidate will support the Critical Utility Operations and Maintenance team and System Owners for Utility Systems. This role will focus on HVAC systems but may also include support for other site utilities such as boilers, compressors, chillers, water systems, life safety systems, and Waste-Water Treatment Plant. The role will also oversee the Hard Services Provider.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Work with the Critical Utilities Operations and Maintenance team to optimize and develop plant operation, maintenance plans, standard operating procedures, and risk assessments.
2. Ensure maintenance standards promote safe and reliable operations by driving Reliability Excellence.
3. Review vendor documents and reports, and manage the effective closing of Work Orders on site CMMS.
4. Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues, implementing solutions to minimize downtime and maintain environmental control.
Qualifications & Requirements
1. Bachelor's (Level 8) or Master’s Degree in a relevant Science/Engineering discipline with at least 6 years’ experience providing technical expertise on an operating site.
2. Experience in operating and maintaining utility systems in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility is advantageous.
3. Strong knowledge of HVAC system design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, with the ability to interpret technical documents and process drawings.
