Experienced Receptionist – 4* Grand Hotel, Malahide
Are you an experienced and customer-focused Hotel Receptionist? If so, we’re recruiting experienced Receptionists to join our front office team on a Full Time permanent basis.
The candidates must have previous experience as a receptionist in a hotel environment.
Now under the management of FBD Hotels & Resorts, the iconic four-star Grand Hotel Dublin, located in the heart of Malahide, offers a unique seaside retreat while remaining conveniently close to the attractions of Dublin City Centre — just 15 minutes from Dublin International Airport and 5 minutes from the M50/M1 motorways.
Responsibilities
* Greet guests warmly and outline hotel facilities
* Check in and out guests efficiently and professionally using Opera Cloud
* Advise all departments of any special guest requests (dinner reservations, ordering taxis, room service, etc.)
* Correctly post all charges to individual guest rooms
* Inform the Duty Manager of any guest queries, complaints or suggestions
* Handle safe deposit for guests, including foreign exchange and monies at the desk
* Oversee that all departmental floats are signed in and out correctly
* Attend all departmental and hotel training courses and meetings as required
* Pass over correct and detailed information to the following shift “pass‑over”
* Update Opera on serviced and out of service rooms by liaising with the Accommodation Department
Ideal candidate
• Good knowledge of Opera PMS – ideally Opera Cloud version
• At least 2 years experience in a busy hotel reception
We seek an enthusiastic, motivated, and hardworking individual with a strong commitment to quality, high standards, service and customer care. Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work within a team environment are required.
