Financial Leadership Role
A Financial Controller is required to provide strategic financial leadership and oversee the implementation of an ERP system. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a fully qualified accountant in Retail or E-commerce, with a strong commercial mindset and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day finance operations, ensuring efficient payment of suppliers and accurate reporting.
* Prepare accounts for auditors, manage invoices, and create dashboards for senior leadership.
* Design projects to automate manual processes and prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flows.
* Work with buying teams to maximise GP potential and manage labour budget and planning.
* Liaise with colleagues to ensure accurate financial reporting across all areas of responsibility.
* Analyse key expense variances and deliver quality financial reporting and analysis.
* Manage capex spends, ROI, and cost/benefit analysis, and report on spend monthly.
Requirements
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or similar qualifications).
* Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience.
* Experience in Retail or Ecommerce - Essential.
* Good knowledge of local accounting standards, IFRS, and payroll calculation.
* Experience implementing an ERP – Desirable.
* Strong retail financial management skills and a track record of implementing change and new processes.
