Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Roofing and Cladding Detailer
to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and comprehensive technical drawings and detailing packages for roofing and cladding systems across commercial, industrial, and residential projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction principles, materials, and fabrication techniques, as well as proficiency in CAD / Revit software.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed drawings and 3D models for roofing and cladding systems using AutoCAD and Revit
* Interpret architectural and structural drawings to develop precise fabrication and installation details.
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure design intent and buildability.
* Specify materials, fixings, and finishes in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
* Coordinate with suppliers and fabricators to ensure compatibility and accuracy of components.
* Review and revise drawings based on feedback from clients, consultants, and site teams.
* Maintain drawing registers and document control procedures.
* Ensure compliance with building regulations, health & safety standards, and fire performance requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
* Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology, Construction, or related field.
* Proven experience in roofing and cladding detailing (3-5 years preferred).
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud
* Strong knowledge of roofing and cladding systems, materials, and installation methods.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Desirable Attributes
* Experience with BIM workflows and clash detection.
* Familiarity with UK/Ireland building codes and standards.
* Knowledge of sustainability and thermal performance in envelope design.
