About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join our team. As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for turning CAD designs into precision tooling, fixtures, prototype moulds, and functional prototypes.
Responsibilities:
* Program, set up and operate 3/4/5 axis machines (FANUC, HAAS, Doosan, DMG Mori), EDM wire & Die sinker, manual lathe, manual mill, and surface grinder.
* Machine a variety of materials to create precision tooling, fixtures, moulds, and prototypes.
* Analyse specs, determine required tools and equipment, and apply material expertise and machining strategies.
* Interpret blueprints, layouts, sketches, or non-dimensioned CAD models to plan and carry out efficient, high-quality machining.
* Ensure machined parts meet all dimensional, surface finish, and functional standards.
* Choose the best, most efficient machining methods without compromising quality.
Requirements:
* NFQ Level 7 engineering/toolmaking trade qualification;
* 5+ years' experience;
* Medical device experience preferred;
* Strong CNC programming skills for complex prototype work;
* Muti-axis machining experience required;
* Proficient in 3D CAD & CAM (Solidworks, MasterCam, SolidCAM or similar).
