Accounts Administrator

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join our busy Limerick City office. Working closely with management and our external accountant, you will oversee day-to-day finance and office administration, ensuring accurate records and smooth payroll and purchasing processes.


Key Responsibilities

* Payroll
o Download weekly timesheets, prepare and process wages using Sage Micropay.
o Submit wage runs to the bank and distribute payslips.
o Maintain the holiday calendar and provide updates for scheduling.
o Set up new staff and process leavers on Micropay.
o Process and pay PRSI/PAYE contributions.
o Place orders for required supplies and maintain stock records on Sage 50 Accounts.
o Set up suppliers, process invoices, and make monthly payments.
o Enter monthly customer invoices and record receipts.
o Provide monthly figures to the accountant.
o Prepare year-end accounts pack for submission.
o Process bi-monthly VAT returns on Sage and arrange payments.
* General Office Administration
o Answer calls, make appointments, and prepare/record quotes.
o Maintain accurate files and spreadsheets (Excel) and produce reports as needed.


Skills & Experience

* Proven experience in accounts administration or bookkeeping.
* Proficiency with Sage 50 Accounts, Micropay, BrightHR, Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
* Good communication skills for liaising with staff, suppliers, and customers.
