Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Professional to join our organisation as an Accounts Payable Team Lead.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with proven leadership skills to manage the Accounts Payable function, oversee the AP team, and ensure optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership: Oversee the AP team, allocate workloads, conduct team meetings, and provide training and support to achieve maximum results.
* Reconciliations: Perform supplier statement reconciliations at each period end, follow up on discrepancies, and maintain accurate records.
* PO System Management: Handle queries and issues related to the Purchase Order system, provide user training, and oversee workflows to ensure timely processing of invoices and purchase orders.
* Invoice Processing: Manage the end-to-end invoice processing cycle, verify invoices upon receipt, match them to purchase orders, and accurately post supplier invoices to the accounts system.
* Payment Runs: Prepare and process weekly supplier payment runs, ensuring all suppliers are paid within their agreed credit terms.
* Period End Support: Assist with period-end close activities, including the preparation and identification of accruals.
* VAT Returns: Support the preparation of bi-monthly VAT returns.
Requirements:
* Demonstrable working knowledge of Accounts Payable and general accounting procedures.
* Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
* Relevant Accounts Payable work experience.
* Experience with Purchase Order systems.
