Backstage Bar & Grill Letterkenny are seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to work along side our Head Chef and Kitchen Team. The candidate should have a proven track record and be a dedicated worker who is highly motivated, and positive.
As the Sous Chef here at Backstage Bar & Grill, you will be responsible for the overseeing of all kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef, including food preparation and staff management. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining our high standards of quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
* Manage and mentor the kitchen team.
* Help to develop and design an innovative menu that will meet our customers' expectations.
* Monitor inventory, ensuring efficient use of resources whilst minimizing waste.
* Create a relationship with front-of-house staff to ensure high standards and to meet customer satisfaction.
* Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations and food handling standards.
* Keep up to date with all culinary trends.
Requirements:
* Excellent communication and management skills.
* 2 years' experience gained at a similar level.
* NVQ Level 2 or the equivalent in food preparation and cooking.
* Good knowledge of HACCP
* Recognised Food Hygiene Certificate.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends when required.
