Job Opportunity for an experienced senior
Microbiologist
to join team for a medical device production company based in South Dublin.
The Microbiologist is accountable for ensuring that all products produced at the site adhere to the specified microbiological and sterilization standards (regulatory microbiological and sterilization standards). The role is a Subject Matter expert for Micro and Sterilisation needs for the Operations at the plant.

Responsibilities:
* Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all current relevant worldwide regulatory requirements that relate to products manufactured.
* Responsible for the supervision of Microbiology Technicians.
* Ensure microbiological quality standards for all products are applied uniformly across the site.
* Ensures compliance with all sterilisation and environmental monitoring requirements.
* Responsible for dose establishment, dose audits, dose mapping and preparing cycle time charts as required.
* Review of processed product lots and approval of lots for release.
* Act as microbiological technical specialist for the site
* Integrate with appropriate technical specialist groups.
Relevant Experience:
* Degree in Science or related Quality discipline specialising in Microbiology
* 8+ experience in a healthcare industry in a similar role (Medical Device, Pharma, Biologics etc.)
* Radiation and sterilization experience would be advantageous
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and team building skills
* Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office software an advantage
* Experience in process validation, sterilisation and working in a clean room environment would be advantageous.
* Proven ability of working in a cross-functional team environment.
* Radiation and terminal sterilization experience would be advantageous
