Location: Hybrid (Ireland) - requirement to attend the office (Dublin 7) for meetings/training as required

Contract duration: 2 Year Fixed Term Contract
Hours of Work: Full-time, 39 hours per week

Probationary Period: 6 months
Benefits: 25 days annual leave (exclusive of public holidays),financial support for further education, two days positive mental health leave annually, and access to the four-day working week programme.

About the Role
We're looking for a creative and strategic Media and Communications Manager to amplify our voice, build our brand, and help us tell powerful stories. This individual will effectively communicate the role of spunout and our impact to a wide and varied range of stakeholders. This role will connect all parts of the organisation - from youth participation to advocacy to fundraising - ensuring our work reaches and inspires the audiences that matter.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
The Media and Communications Manager will:
* Implement and deliver effective communications strategies and plans to promote spunout in achieving its strategic objectives.
* Lead on media relations including drafting press releases, securing coverage, and maintaining strong relationships with the media
* Drive advocacy and public affairs communications, positioning the organisation as an influential thought leader.
* Support brand and content across newsletters, website, publications, digital media and collateral.
* Support fundraising and income generation efforts by developing compelling pitches, presentations, and donor messaging.
* Identify and highlight potential areas of positive publicity with a clear understanding of reputational risk and impact. Ensure messaging is consistent, inclusive, engaging and tailored to key audiences.
* Work closely with teams to ensure strong brand alignment and cohesive messaging.
* Plan and coordinate events and campaigns to raise visibility and engage stakeholders.
* Deliver effective stakeholder communications through regular updates, impact reporting and storytelling.

Qualifications and Experience
* Degree-level or professional qualification in a relevant discipline
* Minimum of three years' experience in a similar role within a communications, media, public relations, or public affairs environment
* Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt across multiple channels and audiences.
* Experience in engaging the media and building strong relationships.
* Creativity and attention to detail in content and brand.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines effectively.
* A collaborative and proactive approach with a passion for delivering impact.
