JOB SUMMARY
This position will report to Financial Controller EMEA. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. The position maintains and controls certain General Ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization, in accordance with IFRS and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (USGAAP) that include booking of daily transactions, performing analytical work and thorough review of financial records.
The ideal candidate will have firm knowledge of basic accounting principles, attention to detail, strong initiative to identify opportunities for improvement as well as design and implement approved improvements. The candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work with a broad range of people with different backgrounds and perspectives, as well as the ability to comfortably work with people in other functions or external to the company (vendors and customers).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Reporting & Compliance
* Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Irish GAAP and IFRS.
* Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
General Ledger & Reconciliations
* Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and accruals.
* Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Process Improvement & Internal Controls
* Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and recommend improvements.
Accounts Payable & Receivable processing w/ appropriate segregation of duties
* Monitor and review AP and AR processes to ensure timely and accurate payments and collections.
* Assist with cash flow management and banking reconciliations.
Business Support & Collaboration
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights.
* Support finance projects and initiatives, including system implementations.
Complete other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned.
CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum of 4+ years of general accounting experience, preferably in mid-to-large company, with a minimum 2 -3 years' experience in an accounting professional firm.
* Strong communication skills and detail oriented with the ability to work independently as well as effectively in a team environment.
* Able to apply consistent standards while adapting to frequent changes in Company requirements.
* Be flexible and able to work with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
* Strong Microsoft Excel, and Word skills are required. Experience with Business Central or similar ERP is a plus.
* Dependable, organized, and professional individual who is self-motivated and owns required tasks
