Maintenance Department Reporting Structure
Reports to the Business Operations Manager and Operations Director. Responsible for repair and maintenance of HGVs, Plant & Equipment to support business operations.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Repair & service maintenance of HGVs, trailers, plant, and waste equipment to maximize fleet efficiency.
* Plan and coordinate maintenance and CVRT testing with line managers in line with schedules.
* Work on different vehicles as needed, adhering to workshop systems.
* Assist with planning, parts ordering, and coordination of works.
* Participate in weekly workload reviews and planning for upcoming weeks.
* Experience in hydraulics and MIG welding is desirable but not essential.
* Manage workshop safety and cost-effectiveness.
Experience Required
* 5+ years in waste & recycling or transport & logistics industry.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience with vehicle diagnostic systems; MIG welding experience is desirable.
* Excellent communication skills and computer literacy (Outlook, Excel, Google Sheets).
* Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Full clean Class C driver’s license.
Preferred Experience & Certifications
* 5 years in HGV garage and repair.
* Class C Truck License (preferred).
