Team Horizon is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a leading pharmaceutical company in South Dublin.
The candidate would be responsible for scoping, managing, and delivering projects up to €10m in value. They will be part of the Capital project team, working on new equipment projects, a new fill line, and building construction.

Requirements include safety and quality experience up to €5m, biopharma experience, and managing stakeholders. The role involves overseeing a portfolio of projects at different stages, managing project engineers without direct reports, and working independently with strategic guidance.
Experience running projects for pharmaceutical companies, design houses, or contractors is essential. The candidate will lead multi-departmental teams, requiring soft skills to manage non-direct reports. Construction or process equipment specification/qualification experience is beneficial.
Understanding that Safety, Quality, and Compliance are top priorities is critical.
The Senior Project Manager will lead project teams, coordinate across functional groups, and handle projects like new builds, utilities/system upgrades, manufacturing improvements, and support for new product introductions.

Key responsibilities include:
* Managing project planning, execution, prioritization, resource management, and communication.
* Collaborating with stakeholders to scope projects, manage expectations, and report progress.
* Developing and reviewing technical specifications and bid documents.
* Leading design and construction management, including procurement, installation, and commissioning.
* Providing engineering support for manufacturing processes and equipment.
* Implementing quality control measures.
* Managing project phases from concept through operation.
* Driving equipment introduction and troubleshooting.
* Leading multidisciplinary site teams.
* Ensuring safety leadership and compliance.
* Supervising contingent workers, including construction managers and A&E personnel.
* Presenting project updates to senior leadership.
* Limited travel may be required.
* Performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
* Typically 5+ years of project management/engineering experience, preferably in biotech or aseptic pharma environments.
* Proven experience from project inception to handover.
* Strong mechanical skills and hands-on experience in high-volume manufacturing are advantageous.
* Experience in GDP compliant environments.
* Ability to work cross-functionally, deliver technical solutions, and drive improvements.
* Leadership skills and team collaboration experience.
* Technical report writing and presentation skills.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
