About This Role
This Deputy Decontamination Manager position is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in the field of decontamination services.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the CSSD or Endoscope Decontamination service, as directed by the Decontamination Lead. They will be expected to provide a high level of professional approach and leadership, ensuring the delivery and review of service user experience by all users of Decontamination Services.
Key Responsibilities
* Report to the Decontamination Manager
* Provide a high level of professional approach and leadership
* Be responsible for the delivery and review of service user experience
* Participate and lead in teams / meetings / committees as appropriate
* Facilitate co-ordination, co-operation and liaison across healthcare teams and programmes regarding decontamination services
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a BSc Ordinary degree in Decontamination Management or equivalent, with at least 5 years decontamination experience in a similar environment. A minimum of 3 years supervisory/management experience in a similar sized healthcare institution is also required.
A strong level of IT literacy and previous project based experience would be advantageous. The ability to work non-core hours and weekends is also essential.
