Salary: Competitive + Vehicle + Benefits A leading Irish building contractor with a strong pipeline across residential, commercial, and healthcare projects is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their team for a key project in Limerick.
This is a full-time, permanent role with excellent career progression opportunities and a supportive team environment. Role Overview: Reporting to the Site Manager/Project Manager, you'll play a key role in managing day-to-day site operations, setting out works, ensuring project delivery meets programme, budget, safety, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: General & H&S Oversee daily site activities and subcontractor operations.Deliver works in compliance with company safety policies and legislative standards.Assist with daily site briefings and toolbox talks.Support the preparation of method statements and risk assessments.Maintain strict site housekeeping and report incidents in line with company protocol.Technical & Quality Conduct setting out and surveying using robotic total station and dumpy level.Ensure all works are carried out per design and specification.Coordinate technical information flow with Contracts Manager, Engineers, and Services Coordinator.Maintain and manage site registers (RFIs, submittals, inspections).Resolve technical issues and support quality snag-free delivery.Management & Coordination Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and wider project team.Manage material and plant requisitions.Monitor progress against programme and assist in schedule updates.Ensure accurate weekly reporting of labour, plant, and materials.Maintain plant and equipment in safe working condition.Requirements: Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.Previous experience in a site-based engineering role.Strong technical knowledge and setting out capability.Ability to manage subcontractors and interface with clients.Commitment to safety, quality, and site coordination.Excellent communication and organisational skills.What's on Offer: Competitive SalaryCompany Vehicle + Laptop + PhoneSupportive working culture with flexible office options (Sligo or Maynooth)Professional development & mentoring supportCPD TrainingLife Insurance (Death in Service Benefit)Bike to Work Scheme, Gym Membership & other lifestyle benefitsLoyalty and referral reward schemesEmployee Assistance ProgrammeActive social club
