The role
BHA Construction is a long-established residential contractor and developer with over 40 years’ experience delivering high-quality homes across Ireland. We are now seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major housing development in Laois.
The Role
We are looking for a proven Project Manager who can take full responsibility for the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of a multi-unit residential scheme. You will lead the site team, manage subcontractors, and ensure the project is delivered on programme, on budget, and to BHA’s expected standard of excellence.
This is a key leadership position with significant influence on the project's success — and strong long-term progression opportunities within our growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the full delivery of the housing development from groundworks through to handover.
Develop and maintain detailed project programmes, ensuring alignment with P6/office plans.
Drive site productivity, sequencing, and resource planning to maintain momentum.
Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with quality standards.
Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions where required.
Liaise closely with design teams, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
Oversee procurement schedules and coordinate with the commercial team on budgets, variations, and forecasts.
Chair site meetings and produce clear, accurate reports for senior management.
Maintain strong client relationships, representing BHA professionally at all stages.
Ensure smooth, timely delivery of completed units to the highest standard.
Requirements
5+ years’ experience in site management or project management within residential construction.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of driving performance on-site.
Solid understanding of construction sequencing, programming, and modern methods.
Proven ability to manage subcontractors, solve problems, and maintain project pace.
Strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
Organised, proactive, and high standards of professionalism.
