Position Summary
Manage day-to-day coordination and management of field operations, including labor supervision, subcontractor coordination, and project schedule. Efficiently plan, organize, supervise, and ensure work is done following the highest quality standards while complying with construction drawings and specifications. Displays self-motivation with strong attention to detail.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Responsible for all field construction activities and personnel, including manpower, equipment, schedule, and budget.
* Manage construction turnover, project completion, manpower, equipment, safety, and quality.
* Ensure project is completed safely and successfully within schedule and budget.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with Owners, Engineers and OEM's.
* Ensure project is in alignment with all the Irish Construction Regulations.
* Work closely with project team to plan, supervise, and executive all aspects of construction.
* Collaborate with Superintendents and Subcontractors in coordinating and planning day-to-day activities.
* Review drawings and field specifications for completeness.
* Support commissioning team needs and observe start-up safety procedures.
* Monitor material and rental equipment costs as well as review of weekly QPR with disciplines.
* Conduct daily construction meetings with all disciplines and subcontractors.
* Complete constructability reviews with the EOR during design phase.
* Responsible for timely completion and correction of construction deficiencies.
* Address and resolve any issues or problems that arise.
* Other duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering discipline preferred
* 10+ years of power plant or industrial construction experience.
* Experience with medium to large power plant project experience.
* Ability to lead and manage people, coordinate multiple activities, and read and understand Drawings.
* Strong ability to plan and perform highly complex operations with authority to make decisions autonomously.
* Must have a valid driver license.
* Knowledgeable in CSA rules and regulations.
* Strong communication, coordination, and time management skills.
* Skilled in problem solving, analytics, and Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word.
