Network Engineer (CCNP Certified)My client based in Dublin City Centre are seeking an experienced CCNP-certified Network Engineer to join a highly skilled technical team supporting and delivering enterprise-grade network solutions.This role is suited to a hands-on engineer with strong routing, switching, and troubleshooting expertise, comfortable working in complex, high-availability environments.You will play a key role in the design, implementation, and support of enterprise networks, working across multiple technologies and collaborating closely with internal teams and customers.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, and wireless networksConfigure and troubleshoot routing and switching technologies in production environmentsSupport network upgrades, migrations, and new deploymentsDiagnose and resolve complex network incidents and performance issuesMaintain network documentation, diagrams, and configuration standardsEnsure network security, resilience, and availabilityCollaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve technical issuesParticipate in change management and planned out-of-hours work when requiredRequired Skills & ExperienceValid CCNP certification (mandatory)Strong experience with Cisco routing and switching technologiesIn-depth knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)Hands-on experience with enterprise LAN/WAN architecturesStrong troubleshooting skills in complex network environmentsExperience working with network security concepts and firewallsAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamNice to HaveExperience with wireless networking solutionsExposure to network monitoring and management toolsExperience in service provider or managed services environmentsAdditional certifications (e.g. CCNP Security, CCIE track, vendor equivalents)
