Job Title: Production Unit Manager
We are currently partnering with a leading medical device multi-national client to fill the role of an experienced Production Unit Manager as they expand their operations.
This is a diverse and challenging role that plays a pivotal part in the business operations, working alongside Production Supervisors and their teams to meet KPI's and outputs and provide overall leadership to the wider organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Planning: Develops and implements a strategic plan for the Production Unit to achieve organisational goals.
* Lean Initiatives: Leverages Lean initiatives to improve safety, quality, customer indicators, reduce waste, improve processes and labour efficiencies, and reduce direct operating expenses.
* Staff Management: Determines appropriate staff levels, schedules, and resources. Establishes cross-functional team relationships and works cross-functionally to identify and resolve technical issues.
* Team Development: Establishes clear accountabilities for direct reports and motivates and develops staff through understanding, personal development, and lifelong learning.
* Budget Management: Develops, manages, and monitors department budgets.
* Continuous Improvement: Fosters and recognises continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
* Risk Taking: Nurtures a risk-taking environment and encourages employees to reach for new milestones.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensures department adherence to regulatory and GMP requirements.
* Functional Excellence: Drives functional excellence initiatives and delivers high-quality functional deliverables.
* Manufacturing Expertise: Possesses a broad in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems and has demonstrated the ability to specify appropriately.
Requirements:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Engineering field. Master's preferred.
* Experience: Minimum 8/10+ years in an operations environment. Experience in the medical device industry is required. Previous experience working in a role such as Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager or Production Supervisor is desirable.
