About the Role
- Seeking a friendly, organized, and professional GP receptionist to join our busy medical practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the reception area and supporting clinical staff.
Responsibilities
* Greet patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner.
* Answer telephone calls, taking messages, and booking appointments.
* Register new patients and update patient records.
* Manage appointment scheduling and ensure efficient use of time for doctors and patients.
* Handle patient queries and provide information about services and procedures.
* Always maintain confidentiality of patient information.
* Assist with administrative tasks such as scanning, filing and claiming.
* Ensure the reception and waiting room is tidy and well organized.
Required Skills
* Previous experience in a reception or administrative role (preferably in a medical setting)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
* Good IT skills and experience with medical software systems (training can be provided).
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* A friendly and compassionate attitude with a patient focussed approach.
* Ability to work under pressure and handle a busy environment.
Pay range
