Procurement Officer Role
Our organization is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our team in Galway. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced procurement environment and contribute to the success of our organization.
Job Responsibilities:
* Participate in general procurement activities including requisition processing, purchase ordering, receipt, recording and proper stock control of various items.
* Assist the line manager in the day-to-day management of the assigned procurement function.
* Monitor performance of suppliers and ensure that all stock and other assets under their control are properly accounted for.
* Adhere to policies, procedures and regulations related to procurement.
* Liaise with line manager in identifying items with contract potential and assist in the development of customer-based service with assigned service users.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Excellent administrative skills and ability to work accurately and efficiently.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
* Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
