Job DescriptionReporting to the Production Support Manager, the PEP Engineer is responsible for the work scope compilation of all Mobile Engine Services (MES) Events and Airline Support (AST) events. Mobile Engine Services offer three types of services:On-wing repairs - Repairs with the engine mounted on the aircraftOn-site repairs - In cases where a disassembly of the engine from the wing is required, mobile repairs are offered directly at the customer's facility.Repair station - more complex repairs, can be performed at one of the MES repair stations.Responsibilities IncludeSet the maintenance work in cooperation with the Customer Support Engineers, Event Operation Center and Customer Service in accordance with the customer requirementsDrafting / creating / revising Job cards which are used to carry out required maintenance tasks according to approved maintenance dataWorking closely with other disciplines within the operation to ensure effective planning and execution of complex engine repair eventsConsult and provide support for engine maintenance (e.g. Reviewing mechanic findings, trouble shooting, creation of inspection reports for the customers)Recording and reporting of observed engine hardware conditionCo-ordinate with OEM as required to support maintenance eventsSupport Mobile Engine Services (MES) inStation Events and inField (AST) events as required (Potentially out of regular business hours)Support the station with implementation of new products & engine typesProvide planning and control data, establish, maintain and improve master data for sequence planning to secure the quality of MES DUB event flowDevelop, optimize and implement processes in planning and production of engine repairsCarrying out training and instruction as required in order to facilitate the successful implementation of new methods, processes, tools or equipment.Assist with the Training and Development of Junior MES PEP and other employees.Support Customer Service Manager with technical questions and partake in customer calls, as requiredCoordinate with the MES product centre regarding MES standardsSpecial assignment i.e. participation in or lead projects to support the station, as requiredPerson SpecificationThe candidate should fulfill the following requirements:Thoroughness, accuracy, and attention to detail are key.Problem solving ability in a rapidly changing environment.Effective communication.Customer focusedAbility to work under sustained pressure in a most competitive environment.Ambitious, motivated, energetic, enthusiastic self-starter who can work on their own initiative.Solution focusedWillingness to travel as per business requirementGood interpersonal and communication skills.Strong team player.Commitment to company values and ethicsSpecific qualifications includeDegree in a relevant engineering discipline i.e. Aeronautical, Mechanical, Industrial or equivalent experience through long-time working in an engine MRO or aircraft related maintenance environment. Note: experience in engine MRO desirable i.e. Repair, inspection, operations, planning or engineering.Familiar with standard concepts, practices, procedures, tooling and documentation relating to Turbofan Jet engine maintenance.IT SkillsFamiliar and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite applications, Word, Powerpoint, ExcelWillingness and ability to learn new programs or IT applications which are deemed necessary to support developing business needs.
