About the Role
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Frontline Manager to supervise day‑to‑day maintenance operations at our Cavan manufacturing site. This role ensures the plant runs safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting broader continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
You will oversee safe work practices, prioritise maintenance activities, and support the team in resolving breakdowns, reducing downtime, and improving equipment performance. Operating in a hygiene‑critical food environment, you’ll help uphold GMP, HACCP, WHS, sanitation, and allergen‑control standards while coordinating maintenance needs around production requirements.
About You
You have solid maintenance experience within FMCG and can confidently supervise teams in a fast‑paced environment. You’re skilled in troubleshooting, supporting long‑term fixes, and keeping operations running smoothly.
You come from either an electrical or mechanical trade background.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure safety compliance (TAKE 5, risk assessments, SWMS/JSA, toolbox and pre‑start meetings).
Oversee daily maintenance execution, PMs, breakdown response, and corrective repairs.
Manage scheduling, labour allocation, reporting, timesheets, and shift coverage.
Lead shift handovers, day‑to‑day coordination, and communication with production.
Oversee parts procurement, warehousing, inventory control, and contractor compliance.
Support reliability improvements and maintenance of plant utilities.
Qualifications
Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification (A‑Class or Cert III Mechanical).
Experience with food manufacturing equipment and maintenance systems.
Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, WHS.
High Risk, EWP, or Forklift licences (desirable).
