Cora has over 180 staff over three countries, Ireland, UK and USA and our system is live in 52 Countries. Over $15bn of client projects are managed on our platform and the system allows clients to consolidate software, reduce project overspend and integrate with existing systems for an efficient transformational business model.ResponsibilitiesDue to rapid expansion the company is now seeking to hire a CybersecurityEngineer as part our dedicated cyber security team. You will report directly to the Head of Cyber Security and will provide support to internal and external customers on all cyber security matters, working closely with IT operations, development teams, and business stakeholders across the organisation. You will also be heavily involved in deployment and configuration of new technologies across the business as we look to continue to improve our estate.This role will focus on the following responsibilities and tasks, but this list is not exhaustive:Security Infrastructure & ArchitectureDesign, implement, and maintain security architectures across cloud and on-premises environmentsConfigure and manage security tools including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM platforms, and endpoint protection solutionsConduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testingDevelop and maintain security policies, procedures, and technical standardsMonitor security events and investigate potential security incidentsLead incident response activities including containment, eradication, and recoveryPerform digital forensics analysis when requiredCollaborate with cross-functional teams during security incidentsMaintain and update incident response playbooksConduct regular risk assessments and security auditsEnsure compliance with relevant regulations (GDPR, SOX, FedRAMP, etc.)Develop and deliver security awareness training programsSupport compliance audits and assessmentsSecurity OperationsImplement and maintain identity and access management systemsManage security configurations for networks, systems, and applicationsDevelop automation scripts for security processes and monitoringStay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologiesRequired QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or information security rolesExperience with enterprise security tools and technologiesTechnical SkillsStrong knowledge of network security protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, VPN, SSL/TLS)Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and forensics toolsExperience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Knowledge of operating systems security (Windows, Linux, macOS)Understanding of application security principles and secure coding practicesFamiliarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls)Certifications (One or more preferred)CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)CompTIA Security+Cloud security certifications (AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, etc.)Preferred QualificationsAdvanced degree in Cybersecurity or related fieldExperience in regulated industries (healthcare, finance, government)Scripting and automation experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash)Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and toolsExperience with threat intelligence platformsUnderstanding of privacy regulations and data protection requirementsThe ideal candidateWe have a strong company culture of openness and transparency.
