Our team is committed to engineering excellence, innovation, and robust technical standards including fire safety, structural performance, and accessibility compliance.As the business continues to grow, we are seeking a technically strong and motivated Resident Engineer to take on a engineering and project delivery role supporting and leading engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on on-site supervision, construction oversight, and design coordination.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as Resident Engineer on assigned projects, overseeing on-site construction works to ensure compliance with design specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.Contribute to and lead project engineering tasks including feasibility studies, technical assessments, and design coordination.Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and engineering work packages across all project phases.Supervise contractors and subcontractors on site, ensuring safe, efficient, and quality-driven delivery.Prepare, review, and manage engineering documentation such as technical reports, site records, method statements, risk assessments, drawings, and cost evaluations.Conduct regular site inspections, verify workmanship, and resolve engineering or construction issues as they arise.Liaise with clients, design teams, local authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure engineering requirements and project objectives are fully aligned.Provide technical review and support using AutoCAD and other engineering tools, contributing to accurate design development and constructability evaluations.Skills & ExperienceMinimum 2 years' post-graduate engineering experience, ideally working on design based projects with exposure to Resident Engineer/Design based duties.Experience working on civil, residential, or commercial engineering projects.Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound engineering judgments on site.Competence in AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage site activities, report on progress, and engage with contractors and multidisciplinary teams.Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative communication with design teams and senior engineers.Fluent in English (written and verbal).QualificationsLevel 7 (or higher) degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.Working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, construction regulations, and engineering best practices.Full, clean driver's licence.
