Main Purpose of Job:
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Executive to join the Connolly Motor Group, within the Sales Team on site Volkswagen Letterkenny.
This role requires the successful candidate to work with individual customers to understand their needs and maximise sales and profitability from finance, warranty, and credit protection insurance products.
Role Responsibilities:
* Build rapport and qualify the customer’s requirements
* Understand the customer's needs through discussion and gauging reactions to tailor product offerings
* Demonstrate suitable options to the customer, adapting to their buying strategy
* Agree on sale details
* Check customer credit status and propose finance options according to company policies
* Coordinate vehicle purchase details for Connolly Motor Group
* Identify appropriate finance, warranty, or insurance packages in a friendly manner
* Produce and explain finance quotes, maximizing margins while meeting customer needs
* Agree on payment methods and complete relevant administration per provider policies and legislation
* Manage performance to meet sales targets and improve continuously
* Monitor personal sales performance with the Group Operations Manager and develop action plans
* Collaborate with colleagues and teams to provide seamless customer service
* Follow up on sales opportunities identified by other teams
* Ensure customer satisfaction and retention, including sales to existing customers
* Understand GDPR implications
Skills and Competencies:
* QFA Qualification preferred
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role; motor industry experience is not essential
* Strong communication skills with customers, colleagues, finance providers, and manufacturers
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Email)
* Experience with Kerridge CRM system is desirable but not essential
* Knowledge of sales volumes and margins on finance and credit protection insurance products
* Ability to convert cash sales effectively
* Effective prospecting and customer qualification skills
* Ability to present and sell product features convincingly
* Skill in managing and closing deals, while cultivating new opportunities
* Attention to detail in administrative tasks
* Time management skills to work independently in a busy environment
* Strong problem-solving skills for timely query resolution
* Present a professional image through attitude, behaviour, and appearance
* Full clean driver’s license is essential
