Financial Controller - Site Based

The recruiting client is an independently run and profitable design, service and installation business west of Dublin owned by a leading international Group.
The organisation adheres to high quality corporate governance and associated financial controls.
Based at site, the role is responsible for the local Finance and Accounting functions covering month and year end reporting, tax, VAT and all statutory reporting and compliance.
Beyond incorporating the obvious financial requirements, the successful candidate will be involved in the wider business and will have the opportunity to contribute more broadly.

Responsibilities
Financial reporting to relevant Group deadlines.
Provision of financial support and guidance to local management and sales teams thereby enhancing financial performance.
Leading budgeting and forecasting.
Contribution to the development of accounting systems via ERP roll out.
Local taxation issues/returns.
Acting as a primary POC for external and internal audit.
Cash management including cash flow forecasting.
Management and development of a small finance team.
Oversight of local HR issues and policies with corporate support/guidance.
Qualifications
Potential candidates should be qualified accountants with a sound working knowledge of local accounting standards and strong communication skills enabling the successful candidate to play a key role in the local management team.
Attitude and commitment to excellence will be seen as more important than any exposure to the specific sector, as it is assumed that candidates will have the intellect to bring value and enhance the operation over time.
