Material Control Operative Job Overview

\AbstractThe role of the Material Control Operative is to oversee and coordinate the efficient flow of materials across various departments, ensuring seamless production processes while maintaining compliance with food safety standards.\

Responsibilities:

1. Operate the Emydex Scale System in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
\
2. Ensure accuracy of information supplied and report any issues or problems to Team Leader/Supervisor.
\
3. Comply with company requirements regarding Health and Safety and Hygiene, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
\
4. Perform other duties within the competency of the post holder as directed by management.
\
5. 21. Monitor and maintain accurate records of material control metrics, including inventory turnover, stock availability, and lead times.

22. Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs without compromising product quality or supply chain reliability.

23. Enhance collaboration between departments and teams to improve communication and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

24. Streamline and standardize work processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
\
25. Integrate technology solutions to enhance material control operations, such as barcode scanning, RFID tracking, and data analytics tools.

26. Facilitate cross-functional training and development programs to upskill staff and build a strong team.

27. Drive business growth through strategic planning, execution, and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs).
\
28. Assess and mitigate operational risks associated with material control, such as stock obsolescence, contamination, and equipment malfunctions.

30. Develop and manage budgets for material control operations, optimizing resources and minimizing waste.
\
31. Prepare and present reports on material control performance to senior management, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
