Project Design Manager We are currently recruiting for a Project Design Manager to work in Dublin with a Tier 1 M&E Contractor. This role is a senior leadership position for an experienced MEP professional with a strong electrical biasand proven data centre experience. As MEP Design Manager, you will take ownership of mechanical and electrical design delivery on large, technically demanding projects, leading multidisciplinary teams across multiple regions. Responsibilities Lead mechanical and electrical design and engineering activities on major, technically complex projects, with a strong focus on electrical systems including power distribution, cooling interfaces, telecoms, and controls. Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe. Act as the senior technical authority for electrical and MEP design issues, supporting construction teams when complex challenges arise. Drive continuous improvement of design processes, standards, and best practices. Identify design risks and gaps early, preventing downstream cost, program, and quality impacts. Requirements Essential experience delivering MEP design on large-scale data centre projects. Strong electrical design engineering background with a clear electrical bias throughout career experience. Proven experience leading MEP or electrical design teams on complex, high-value projects. Ability to make critical decisions in high-pressure environments, even with incomplete information. Demonstrated leadership capability, balancing support, challenge, and accountability.
