Job Description
SAP experience required
Balbriggan location
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Assist in the preparation and coordination of audits
Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial control and reporting.
Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and financial policies.
Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the accounting and finance department.
The Successful Applicant
A successful GL Accountant should have:
A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Professional qualification or part-qualification in accounting (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
Experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
SAP S4HANA highly desired.
Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
