About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive
DevOps Engineer
to join a growing engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, automating, and maintaining secure and scalable infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across teams, implement deployment strategies, and streamline the development lifecycle in a cloud-native environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, build, and manage CI/CD pipelines.
* Define and enforce branching/version control strategies (Git Flow, trunk-based).
* Architect and manage AWS cloud infrastructure for scalability, availability, and cost efficiency.
* Implement secure IAM roles, policies, and permissions.
* Automate infrastructure deployment with Terraform and Terragrunt.
* Develop automation scripts in Python and Bash.
* Manage artifacts using JFrog Artifactory.
* Integrate and maintain code quality/security tools (SonarQube, Fortify, Prisma Cloud, Qualys).
* Ensure observability practices with CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, or similar tools.
* Work with security/compliance teams to apply DevSecOps principles and support audits.
* Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response/post-mortems.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in a cloud-native environment.
* Strong expertise with AWS cloud services.
* Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Enterprise).
* Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Terragrunt).
* Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash).
* Knowledge of IAM, security, and compliance best practices.
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.
Nice to Have
* AWS certifications (DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Security Specialty).
* Experience in regulated environments (e.g., FedRAMP, HIPAA, SOC2).
* Familiarity with Zero Trust architectures and secrets management.
* Experience implementing policy-as-code and compliance automation tools.
