Cloud Governance & Security Engineer

Salary: €85,000 - €100,000
We're building a high-performing cloud security team to ensure our public and private cloud environments remain secure, resilient, and compliant. The team works across multiple cloud platforms, supporting engineers, architects, and operations teams to implement controls, automate security testing, and strengthen the organization's security posture. Occasionally you may encounter unexpected cloud remnants from old deployments-but that's just part of the journey.
What You Will Do
1. Implement and maintain cloud security controls across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
2. Conduct vulnerability assessments, threat modeling, and security reviews of cloud infrastructure and applications.
3. Collaborate with cloud architects, engineers, and operations teams to design and implement secure cloud architectures.
4. Automate security monitoring, testing, and reporting processes using scripting and cloud-native tools.
5. Support cloud incident response and remediation efforts, including root cause analysis and lessons learned.
6. Maintain documentation of security controls, assessment results, and repeatable processes.
7. Stay up-to-date on emerging cloud threats, attack techniques, and industry best practices.
Who You Are
8. 3+ years of experience in cloud security, cloud operations, or related engineering roles.
9. Strong hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated security tools.
10. Understanding of cloud identity and access management, encryption, key management, and networking.
11. Experience scripting for automation, monitoring, and security testing (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
12. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and secure deployment practices.
13. Awareness of compliance standards in cloud environments (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, PCI).
14. Strong problem-solving skills, technical curiosity, and a proactive mindset.
Preferred
15. Cloud security certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, GCP Professional Security Engineer.
16. Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code security scanning tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).
17. Familiarity with cloud-native security monitoring and threat detection tools (Sentinel, GuardDuty, Security Hub).
