A leading Irish environmental and engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Town Planner to join their growing Planning team.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Town Planner looking to work on some of Ireland’s most significant renewable energy, infrastructure, environmental and urban development projects while progressing their career within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment.The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of complex planning and consenting projects, providing strategic planning advice, managing planning applications and collaborating with technical specialists across a diverse portfolio of projects.Projects:Onshore renewable energy developments (€20M – €300M+)Strategic infrastructure and utility projectsLarge-scale residential and urban development schemesWaste management and circular economy projectsEnvironmental impact assessment and consenting projectsMultidisciplinary projects across energy, environment and infrastructure sectorsRole:Preparing and managing planning applications across a diverse range of projectsProviding strategic planning and consenting advice to public and private sector clientsPreparing planning reports, feasibility studies, masterplans and planning strategiesManaging and coordinating multidisciplinary project teamsSupporting the delivery of environmental reports and EIARsEngaging with planning authorities, statutory bodies and project stakeholdersContributing to the continued growth and development of the planning teamSupporting project delivery across renewable energy, infrastructure and environmental sectorsRequirements:Degree and/or Master’s qualification in Town Planning8+ years’ professional planning experienceStrong knowledge of Irish planning and environmental legislationCorporate or Chartered Membership of the IPI or RTPIProven experience delivering planning and environmental projectsStrong report writing, stakeholder engagement and project management skillsExperience within renewable energy, infrastructure or environmental sectors is highly desirableMust be based in Ireland with full working rightsSalary & Benefits:€65,000 – €75,000 (DOE) + BenefitsHybrid and flexible working arrangements23–27 days annual leave plus additional company days5 CPD learning days annually + Paid professional membership feesHealth and wellbeing contributionBike to Work Scheme and Employee Assistance ProgrammeActive sports, social, volunteering and sustainability initiatives
