This is a new role at Ceartas, offering a rare opportunity to build and shape our People function from the ground up.Today, our team is distributed across the world, with people based in Ireland, the Philippines, Germany, Spain, Lithuania, the UAE, and Cyprus and we are planning to expand into the US in 2026. That global footprint (and what comes next) means People at Ceartas is both strategically important and very hands-on.You'll be both a builder and a trusted partner to leadership, helping shape the kind of company we become - especially as we grow across regions, time zones, and employment models.Responsibilities:This is a hands on role. While strategy will be part of this role, the Head of People will also be in the thick of daily operations.People Strategy & LeadershipDefine and lead Ceartas' overall People strategy in alignment with company goals.Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on org design, talent planning, and employee engagement.Build, mentor, and scale the People Ops team over time.Manage the People Ops team including the current HR Manager and future People Ops hires.International Employment LawKnow a reasonable amount of employment law in each of the countries in which we have employees (termination rules, annual leave processes, sick leave processes, additional benefits)Be a knowledgeable voice on both Irish employment lawKeep up to date with changes in employment laws in the countries in which we hire employees.Talent Acquisition & Employer BrandPartner with hiring managers to attract, recruit, and retain top-tier talent across regions.Develop scalable and inclusive recruitment processes and metrics.Strengthen our employer brand through storytelling, community, and candidate experience. Employee Experience & CultureFoster a culture of trust, inclusion, feedback, and high performance.Own the onboarding, offboarding, and ongoing team engagement programs.Design and facilitate internal initiatives around values, DEI, and team wellbeing. Operations, Compliance & PerformanceManage HR systems, tools, and processes (e.g., HRIS, payroll, benefits, compliance).Develop and implement policies that reflect local laws, global best practices, and company valuesDesign and support performance management, career progression, and compensation planning.
