A leading European company supplying customers across Ireland, the UK, and international markets is seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller on a 12-month fixed-term contract.The Financial Controller will have full responsibility for the financial management, control, and reporting of the site. This role will act as a key business partner to the Site Leadership Team, providing financial insight, driving performance, and ensuring robust financial governance in line with Group standards.The Role:Full responsibility for monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysisEnsure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with Group deadlinesMaintain strong internal controls and compliance with Group accounting policiesLead year-end statutory accounts preparation and liaise with external auditorsLead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processesProvide detailed financial analysis and commentary to support operational and strategic decisionsMonitor site KPIs, margins, and cost drivers, identifying risks and opportunitiesSupport capital expenditure appraisal, tracking, and post-investment reviewsAct as a trusted financial advisor to the Site Manager and senior operational teamsConstructively challenge performance and support continuous improvement initiativesTranslate financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholdersManage and support the site finance team, promoting high standards and continuous developmentAllocate workload and ensure effective delivery of finance function objectivesEnsure compliance with tax, regulatory, and Group reporting requirementsSupport internal audits and implement agreed recommendationsDrive best practice in financial processes and systemsRequirements:Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)Significant post-qualification experience, ideally in a manufacturing, or similar operational environmentProven experience in financial control, management reporting, and business partneringStrong understanding of cost accounting and operational financeStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsCommercially minded with the ability to influence and challenge at senior levelExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalHands-on, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced site environmentFor more information on the role, contact Ray Brennan directly on ray@leesidetalent.ie or on 0830362091
