· To develop imaginative approaches to occupation and activity for residents.· To draw up a daily/ weekly programmes of activity· To assist the Care Staff in fulfilling the personal/ physical needs of residents in accordance with their Care Plan· Establish and maintain relationships with residents that are respectful, always promoting independence and equality.· Plan and organise activities for those residents who wish to volunteer for activities or duties in the home. These might include:· Running shop· Domestic tasks, such as table setting, baking, dusting· Running library· Organising specialist events e.g. giving talks, music sessions· Manning reception at week-ends/ out of hours· Answering phone out of hours· Answering door¨ To provide and organise activities and stimulation for those residents who wish to participate.
