Financial Controller Position Description

Mulligans Pharmacy is a family-run company that has been serving the retail pharmacy industry since 1957. With over 18 locations throughout the southeast region of Ireland, we have more than 260 employees across Waterford, Kilkenny, and Tipperary.
We are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller in our head office at South Parade, Waterford City. The role offers 40 hours per week between Monday and Friday onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting, and annual compliance matters ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
* Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including banks, revenue commissioners, and auditors.
* Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with senior management on financial strategies and performance analysis.
Requirements:
* Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in retail or healthcare.
* Strong knowledge of financial regulations in Ireland and proven experience in budgeting and analysis.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
