The Role:

The Asset Operations functions form the cornerstone of service delivery to customers, protecting the environment and meeting regulatory standards as well as managing most operational expenditure. The Operations Support function has responsibility for providing and managing effective business infrastructure and processes at a national level to support operational activities at site level.

The Workflow Management function within UÉ is accountable for the efficient bundling and progression of work orders nationally for UÉ, Local Authorities, and external service providers. The team provide work and data management capability supporting the execution of field activities across Asset Operations, Asset Delivery, CDS and other programmes. Responsibilities include managing customer related escalations, outage / incident management support, road opening licence management, work scheduling activities, inventory management and systems training for UÉ field - based teams.

The Inventory Management team supports the business with effective materials management ensuring the right inventory is available at the right time, in the right quantities, and at the right cost.

The Inventory Analyst reports to the Inventory Lead and coordinates procurement activities for inventory and stores at a national level.The Inventory Analyst supports key stakeholders with reporting, demand planning of stock levels, locations, and other reporting queries and is responsible for maximising operational efficiency while managing inventory levels and minimising inventory exposure.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

* Responsible for the adherence and compliance to policies, procedures, and internal controls as per the Inventory team processes
* Raise Purchase Requisitions in line with UÉ procurement policies and procedures
* Subject matter expert for inventory analytics
* Ensure accuracy of inventory cycle count analysis
* Perform data analysis identify opportunities, risks, trends, make recommendations and create solutions
* Identify cost-reduction and streamlining of processes
* Deliver key inventory reports and insights, identifying demand, forecasting, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
* Support the Inventory Lead with data analytics to support contract efficiency and performance
* Collaborate with the Inventory Team and UÉ stakeholders to identify opportunities which will drive efficiencies and lead to standardisation and continuous improvement across Inventory Team processes
* Contribute to engaging business stakeholders, support relevant meetings and engage in a culture that encourages strong working relationships with the Inventory Team and customers (Asset Operations, Infrastructure Delivery, Business Services, Business Delivery Partners and other organisations and suppliers)
* Monitor supplier performance, identify, and mitigate risks, and ensure adherence to contract terms / KPIs
* Analyse spend data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement cost-reduction initiatives
* Support Procure to Pay activities
* Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards
* Review H&S performance, standards, and values, to ensure that continuous improvement occurs
* Ensure that the Inventory Management Strategy takes account of risk and that processes are in place for the safe delivery, handling, and storage of items
* Ensure that the appropriate level of monitoring is in place such as inspections, audits etc. and support Store Supervisor in closing out items in a timely manner
* Travel to Regional/Local Operations Centre and Stores as and when required
* Performing ad hoc duties as and when required

General Duties and Responsibilities

* Collaboration with key stakeholders across the UÉ business, Asset Operations, Infrastructure Delivery, Business Services, Business Delivery Partners and other organisations and suppliers.
* Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards.
* Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives.
* Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with Uisce Éireann's Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of UÉ business information, and delivery of critical services, in accordance with the NIS Directive and any other relevant cybersecurity regulation
.
* Other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

* Relevant third level qualification e.g., Business, Procurement, Data Analytics etc. or equivalent experience
* 3 years' relevant experience required. Experience in water, utilities or similar industries is desirable.
* Experience of ERP system e.g., Oracle and Maximo system
* Experience of supporting customer valued service excellence that leverages existing company strengths in expertise, compliance, service, or process efficiencies
* Analytical, problem-solver with the ability to think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data
* We aim high - strong attention to detail and able to discuss technical and complex information through oral and written communication
* Ability to support change and continuous improvement in the organisation and cultural changes needed to adapt strategically to changing market demand, technology and internal initiatives
* Skilled proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
* Proficient using Business Intelligence and data visualisation tools i.e., Power BI
* Excellent customer service
