Moulding Engineer - Sligo, Ireland- 18-Month Contract
Located on the picturesque west coast of Ireland, our Global pharmaceutical client is looking for Moulding Engineer to join their state of the art pharmaceutical facility.
Located in the historic province of Connacht neighbouring the pond that is the Atlantic Ocean, breeds a mix of Irish culture and modernisation in the popular seaside town rife with bars, restaurants and water sports.
Responsibilities:
1. To partner with quality to ensure product attributes and performance achieve all specifications.
2. To ensure the performance of day to day preventative and demand maintenance activity to maintain manufacturing equipment.
3. To liaise with Production to ensure equipment performance is maximised.
4. To maintain records and documentation on relevant Engineering
5. Procedures and preventative/ demand maintenance.
6. To liaise with Internal/External Engineering Personnel and contract maintenance providers in maintaining trouble shooting, and installing/commissioning equipment.
7. Technical design making and project planning for new mould tools and processes.
8. Integration of new Injection Mould tooling and equipment in manufacturing processes.
9. Technical oversight on existing lines, investigation yields and quality trends.
10. Prepare appropriate CAPA plans and implement per timelines.
11. Leading projects against agreed project milestones.
12. Partnering with Marketing and Business Development, Customers, Suppliers, Vendors and Internal Cross-Functional teams as required.
13. Ensuring projects are delivered on-time and within budget according to business requirements.
Requirements:
14. A relevant technical qualification in engineering/science/moulding.
15. Degree Level preferable and or relevant experience.
16. Relevant experience.
17. Demonstrated knowledge of moulding, extrusion and/or polymer processes and technologies.
18. Strong analytical problem solving skills; statistics knowledge/experience would be advantageous.
19. Previous project/process management, product technology transfer /NPI and validation experience is desirable.
20. Results driven with proven ability to prioritise work.
21. Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
22. Good working knowledge of quality systems would be helpful.
