Lead Ruminant Expert
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Ruminant Expert to join our team. As a key member of our commercial workstream, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing our ruminant strategy.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be accountable for leading a specialist team and collaborating effectively with regional colleagues to define and coordinate the execution of our ruminant strategy. You will provide expert technical support to key customers and other industry stakeholders on new product and services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Degree in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Science, or a related field.
* Significant experience in technical sales leadership, key account management, or business development focused on dairy, beef, or sheep sectors.
* In-depth knowledge of ruminant digestive physiology, forage and feed evaluation, nutritional requirements for different stages (growth, reproduction, lactation, finishing), and feed additive technologies (e.g., buffers, yeasts, enzymes, rumen-protected nutrients).
* Proficiency with ration formulation programs and interpreting farm performance metrics and an understanding of the regulatory frameworks relevant to ruminant feeds.
* A strong track record in building trust and long-term partnerships with farmers, nutritionists, veterinarians, and cooperative or feed company stakeholders.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of tailoring technical information to different audiences.
* Passionate about the ruminant industry and committed to advancing animal health, welfare, and producer profitability.
